One million American conservatives were considered irrelevant nutjobs.
But one million from the Muslim Brotherhood define the will of the people.

well…. I doubt they all are from the muslim brotherhood. we will have to wait and see how it turns out. judging from past info, nobody has a clue.
I don’t know why global warming should be a liberal issue or a conservative issue. It’s a truth issue.
I’m basically liberal and I see global warming is at best an exaggerated claim and at worst a scam. A lot of my liberal friends feel the same way.
Andy, I agree that this is a “truth issue”.
But if your liberal friends agree AGW is exaggerated/scam, why don’t they call out the scammers?
Are they too embarassed to scrape the HOPE/CHANGE bumper stickers off their cars?
great comparison Steve…….
“But one million from the Muslim Brotherhood define the will of the people.”
If I can’t trust you with the accuracy of this statement (which I can very easily check up on), then why should I bother reading your other posts?
ZZZZZzzzzz……
Clever.
You could try to click on the linky thingys that Steve posts. As far as accuracy goes, I believe Steve was pointing to the blatant double standard of how the media describes people voicing opposition to governments.
Are his posts that difficult to discern?
Steve, I guess you have to slow down for some people. Maybe draw arrows or something. Smiley’s and frownys maybe?
People voicing opposition to a 30 year dictatorship is a little different to people in a democracy voicing opposition to the latest president.
I enjoyed your attempt to describe me as stupid. It was very clever.
1 million??? Using the same counters for the original “Million Man” march in DC which turned out to be about 100,000.
I’ve read news reports here the Cairo count was about 250,000 but to the lying British press 1 milllion sounds better.
An estimated 250,000 Egyptians pile into Cairo, ignoring army tanks in the largest demonstration against the 30-year rule of President Hosni Mubarak, who is reportedly to announce he won’t seek reelection.

Ignoring the accuracy of the count…
1 million Egyptians out of 80 million is 1.25% of the population. They fight for the things that Americans take for granted; freedom, liberty, civil rights, etc.
1 million Americans out of 312 million is 0.32% of the population. They fight for the right to pay outrageous healthcare costs, to have their government subsidize oil (socialism), to be strapped with exorbitant national debt and to have corporate America et al decide the fate of their nation through bribery… err… campaign contributions.
I’d say that’s a fair comparison.
MrC
Hardly – factor in average distance to reach the march. Cairo is in the Middle of the country. DC is on one side of the usa. Egypt has about 400k sq miles. The US about 4 MILLION. Give the distance, the march on DC was much more impressive.
I make a post that tries to point out the absurdity of the comparison while highlighting the state of the political landscape of your country and you retort with something about the mechanics of the rally? Are you for real?
No wonder the Republicans are winning. With any luck they can hold on just long enough to put this whole AGW nonsense behind us and then let the Democrats deal with more important things like jobs, energy independence and political reform.
MrC
Democrats create jobs? ROFL
No… the private sector creates jobs. It is the government’s job to create an environment that fosters job creation. Part of the problem is that the right wing controls all the money. Any proposal that has the potential to jeopardize that is unacceptable to them, even if it is in the best interest of the people and society as a whole.
“I don’t want socialized medicine in my country! Obamacare sucks!! And don’t you even think about taking away my Medicare neither!!!”
