One out of one scientists surveyed agree that the Earth was warming during the last decade.
According to James Hansen of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), global temperature is rising as fast during the past decade as in the prior two decades, despite year-to-year fluctuations associated with the El Niño-La Niña cycle of tropical ocean temperature. According to GISS data, 2010 tied 2005 as the warmest year since people began to keep records around 1880. The next warmest years were 1998, 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2007, which are statistically tied for third warmest year.
I wonder if people realize that you can’t tie a 6 year old record and have warming…
When you tie a record that’s six years old, that means it’s the same and hasn’t changed.

Dissecting the word “expert”, we have X and spurt.
From Algebra, we know that X is the symbol for the unknown.
From Funk and Wagnalls, we know that spurt is a drip under pressure.
Ergo, the “expert” is an unknown drip under pressure.
Sounds about right.
No Lat, that fact escapes them.

All the above years were statistically tied with the years in the 1880s and most years in between. While there is evidence of regional warming over the last 200 years there is also evidence of no warming in other regions. Their so called Global Warming is a regional phenomena and a statistical artifact based on sloppy methods!
Their error bars are wider than the claimed temp change………….
Is there anyone that really believes you can get temps from trees and ice?…
…or that glorified weathermen can really predict the weather?

The wife likes it “Toasty” in the house during Winter and we use “Trees” as out main source of “Temperature” control!
On really warm days I recall throwing “Ice” cubes into the Swamp Cooler (evaporative cooling system) To decrease the “Temperature”. It would help during the warmest periods of the day! 😉
They are just reflecting a warm bias method of temperature compilation, not applied prior to 1998. AKA “hide the decline”.

I think it should be 200%, because Jim is actually DOUBLE sure that it is happening.
Of course, this claim could only be made after they “adjusted” the temperature records in the 1930s…….
Well, seeing that no one else would, I guess I will. Here’s the graph with linear trends. And here’s what Hansen said, “..global temperature is rising as fast during the past decade as in the prior two decades..” This is using Hansen’s numbers.

As the link indicates, I offset the total trend for clarity. As anyone can plainly see, even using Hansen’s numbers, the global temperature is not rising as fast as the past 2 decades.

What if Big Jim broke down and told the truth this time. The result would be the temperatures have not changed significantly for the last thirty years..
Think about the implications of the claim: Global temperature IS Rising AS fast as during the previous decades. If the temperatures did not rise then the previous decades did not rise either which would be a retraction of all Big Jim’s previous claims!
We also have Phil’s admission of No statistically significant temperature change for 15 years.
Agreed, but I would have expected a more sophisticated form of deception. I mean, geez, it’s right out there for everyone to see. I guess he still believes he can fool people by tricks such as turning off the AC.
How could ’10 tie with ’05. Didn’t CO2 do anything for 5 years. If we all lived the next 100 years, this would be the essense of the reporting in 2090…2090 tied with 2075…..
If 98 and ’10 are statistically the same, then nothing has happened in 12 years. Who cares if it’s .01 degrees warmer! That’s laughable.
