Wait…Germany and pretty much everybody else did avoid to use poison gas in the battlefield (as “method of warfare”). They were very scared by it, having seem what it was capable of (in the Italy-Ethiopia war of 1935).
crazy as it now seems, there was no “agreed rule” in international law at the time against using poison gas on civilians (even if everybody knew it was a crime…that’s why they tried to raze the concentration camps)
I wonder how long before the leftist greenie socialists get the idea to amend Geneva to include CO2 as a poison gas.
Going forward this would help make their plans easier to implement.
