Being from the desert Southwest we experienced a 100 years flood every 4 of 5 years in one part of southern Nevada or another. I had family in Tucson and they also experienced Hundred year flood events which did a job along the Tucson River from time to time.

I forgot to add it was at a time when we were experiencing Global Cooling so there was not enough moisture in the atmosphere to provide that much rain so either the current science is wrong or they do not know what they are talking about! It could be both!
