  1. Andy Weiss says:

After 3 straight winters of extreme cold and massive snowstorms, it was starting to look serious. There had been no past record of 3 consecutive winters being so cold. The levels of CO2 must have been much higher in 1979 than 1879, yet the late 1970’s were signifantly colder.

Steve, with all these articles showing both sides over the last 20-30 years all I can say is WTF, as Andy said, 3 cold winters in a row, plan on a cooler times to come

Part of the AGW hysteria depends on people having no historical memory, so this stuff is very helpful. It makes it painfully obvious to what degree the statements of climatologists are based on ad hoc reasoning (always with an air of authority! – but that seems to be a universal talent), and how little they ever consider the bounds of their actual knowledge – i.e. what it is that one can actually conclude.

Because of this, I’d rank the scientific credibility of climatology somewhere between psychiatry and astrology. (Maybe when this is all over, these guys can get jobs casting horoscopes.)

They would not qualify for that job! It takes a certain level of intelligence to “CAST” a horoscope and even more to be a certified Astrologer!
