Babs warned us about this :
“Global warming can have a profound and negative impact on our outdoor recreation opportunities and businesses,” said Sen. Barbara Boxer (D, Calif.). “We are already seeing decreases in the amount of snowpack in certain western areas of the United States. These decreases in snowpack and in the length of the snow season can directly impact activities like skiing and snowmobiling, which are key aspects of outdoor winter recreation.”
“It is up to us to face this challenge squarely and to act immediately to avert the worst effects of global warming,” Boxer concluded.

I wonder if Boxer and team reads these? and how ST.P..D they sound now?
I think, just judging by the visitors that pop by, a great many people read this stuff. I also think they’re looking for any way out they can find. The problem is, they’re so heavily invested in this nonsense, that there isn’t a graceful exit. So, they trudge on.

Very nice! 🙂
All in a little over 1/2 of a year!
I was, though, specifically referring to alarmists. You’ve seemed to have found a button which they hate to be pressed. And, I think they’re watching. Historical references. Mocking sarcasm. Poking fun at their icons. All based on truth. Is beautiful.
I think the word “warmcold” illustrates it best.
Expect colder winters due to global warming
It must be really lonely being a Warmist at the moment. They are seeing their dreams shattered by reality. They are the real deniers now. Never in their worst nightmares did they think that the world ‘denier’ could ever be validly used against them.
I know the ski industry is their poster child…
….but isn’t that like saying the toothpick industry?
or the Dixie cup industry?
I can’t imagine that failure of the ski industry would drag the world economy down with it…….
Yep, just about that.
But, you don’t expect them to use a useful industry as a poster child, do you? They can’t defend the oil industry, not coal, not steel industry, not automotive, not forestry, not…….etc….
In other words, they can’t defend any industry to produces anything of intrinsic value. That would defeat their purpose.
It doesn’t take long to get hooked on this site. Mother nature has not exactly cooperated with the alarmist blather.
Another monster storm headed for the Sierras in another couple days!
Fortunately, the governor has declared the non-drought over.
I think the first thing we do to save the California snowpack is to ban the wasteful habit of driving to the mountains to glide down the slopes on slats and to be pulled back up to the top on electric winches…
If they shut down the winter sports industry and made the mountains off limits during the Winter season there would be more cleaner snow and fewer accidents. Think of it as the precautionary principle!
