    There is probably a peer reviewed Monthly Weather summary for Australia, like for the US and UK, but I doubt if anyone would question the official measurement, although it does happen arouind here in DC with Reagan National Airport, because their snowfall always comes in 20-30% less than the other major stations, BWI and Dulles.
