LA Times : “oil and coal industries attacking the integrity of scientific research and seeking to halt government efforts to limit  the burning of fossil fuel.”

Life in the USSA. Blame the evil capitalists for the disastrous performance of the climate science community.

“The loss of the Glory satellite is a serious setback to our capacity to continue observations critical to understanding and predicting the earth’s climate,” said Greg Holland, director of the Earth System Laboratory of the National Center for Atmospheric Research, based in Boulder, Co.

The failure of the $424-million mission comes at a time of heightened controversy over the accuracy of climate predictions, with the oil and coal industries attacking the integrity of scientific research and seeking to halt government efforts to limit  the burning of fossil fuel.

  1. Mike Davis says:

No one needs to “attack” the lack of integrity in the current research being done to support the Chicken Little Brigade!

  2. Latitude says:

    oil and coal don’t care….

….what happened when they shut down the Gulf?

    They just moved the rigs.

With demand rising faster than they can keep up, they don’t give a rats ass about our science.

  3. For those who don’t know the LA Times is biased politically left, not just a little.

  4. R. de Haan says:

Difficult to screw the little chickens, just throw them into the shredder.

  5. Andy Weiss says:

    That evil profit motive!!

  6. Luke of the D says:

I happen to work for a major natural gas mover and shaker and I have to say their right… oil and gas are evil and kah…ki…kuniving? Whatever. Anyway, all we do is try to get oil (the black kind not the vegi kind) to fuel everyones automobiles, and ambulences, and fire trucks, and combines to harvest grain, and trains to ship goods. And we produce natural gas (methane not carbon dioxide, never, everyone knows carbon dioxide is only made by man!) and move the gas around to power your evil lightbulbs and keep your house so unpleasantly warm. Evil I tell you. Evil.
