Too Much Snow On Kilimanjaro Forces Climbers To Turn Back
This entry was posted in Uncategorized. Bookmark the permalink.
Funny, in the timelapse movie showing the ablation reference stake, they say that it increases from 42 to 120 cm. The images would suggest otherwise.
Snow is set to continue for this week.
I have noticed a serious lack of space images of Kilamanjaro from NASA Earth Observatory. They have some from 2002 and 2004 but that’s it. Maybe recent space photos are out their somewhere.
The Eco Tourist industry does more damage to the environment than natural climate variation!
Dear Ray, Mike and Malcolm,
I’ve just completed Mike’s Nature trick of editing out the heavy snow on Mt. Kilamanjaro for the last 3 days to hide the climbers descent.
Cheers
Phil
Thank You – our story will be, obviously the data show climbers mistook a white fungus (caused by climate warming) for snowfall. Now please delete any posts referencing this conversation. The Deniers might find out.
The snows of Kilimanjaro, just like the unprecedented snowfalls worldwide are caused by global warming, this is a known scientific consensus.
The consensus also said that the lack of snow was due to global warming.
It’s all a figment of their imaginations
Oh, oh. We know what this means. This unprecedented load of warmsnow will compress the earth’s crust, and when it melts… boom, earthquakes at least and probably a massive eruption. With the temperature just below the earth’s surface being millions of degrees (Gore 2009), this is bound to cause an increase in restless leg syndrome in Obama’s relatives.
What? Too much snow on Mt. Kilimanjaro forces climbers to turn back!!!! And nobody yet has claimed its all due to global warming? Whooaaa!
I love this article, and I love this one too:
