It has been argued that the Pan Am bombing was in revenge for the shooting down of an Iranian Airbus (with 300 civilians onboard) in 1988, followed by the US carrying out revenge bombing raids on Libya.
Funny, you hear nary a word about calls to end the violence in Bahrain, or Iran, or Russian suppression in Chechnya, etc….. Certainly it’s not a hot topic at the UN Security Council level.
Qaddafi is just the current Saddam, not so long ago he was dining at the same table and taking photo ops with his peers, this year he’s on their target list.

It seems that the more heavy ordnance we use in the middle east, the more terrorists are created.
