“Compelling Scientific Evidence”

No one knows what the compelling evidence is, but whatever it is – it must be very compelling. The climate never used to change.

Congress turns a blind eye to climate science
By Andrew Freedman

Last week was a bewildering one for those who recognize the abundance of compelling scientific evidence showing that the climate is changing mainly due to human activities and that these changes pose risks to human health and welfare. While the news cycle was dominated by the down-to-the-wire budget negotiations in Washington, ongoing unrest in the Middle East, the nuclear crisis in Japan, a major congressional debate on climate change regulations took place in the House (and Senate) that vividly demonstrated how far off the rails we’ve gone in public discourse of climate science and policy.

the climate is changing ***mainly*** due to human activities …

I do not believe this is accurate.

There are many more who don’t believe that statement………now.

One day, we’ll figure out that if we start with the 3 “R”s. Teach them to spend less than they take in, we’ll all be fine.

If one can read and write and do mathematics, then there will be understanding. If there is an abundance, then understanding is allowed to thrive.

John Adams said it best…… “I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. My sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history, naval architecture, navigation, commerce, and agriculture, in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry, and porcelain.”

Unless we are at a time of prosperity, none is lent to any but the first studies. Adams accomplished his vision. But he neglected to admonish the generations not to forget the lessons learned by him, his peers and their children. Tapestry is useless when one is hungry.

They’ll probably do “peace, love, dope” instead because their lives will be too easy. And they’ll elect Presidents that will raise taxes and bomb countries without thinking first.

The Washington Post simply parrots the intellectually bankrupt warmist party line-that there is total scientific consensus that backs catastrophic, runaway, manmade global warming. They are True Believers and as religious fanatics, there is nothing anyone can say or do to will change their minds.

I’ve given up trying to challenge the alarmists. It’s a lot more fun to watch them stew and squirm in their own juices as their policy initiatives go up in smoke.

    Suyts,

“Teach them to spend less than they take in, we’ll all be fine. ”

Prophetic words, if the numbers in the article below are correct?

“In a decade’s time, the United States plans to have 15 times as many modern fighters as China, and 20 times as many as Russia.”

  4. Charles Higley says:

What news feed to they listen to? A steady stream of compelling science? Where, where? A steady stream of alarmist claims, more like. Dat’s not science!
