Steve,
Do add
“Snow cover data is displayed only for most recent dates.”
Otherwise your detractors will go nuts. Just a tip.
Then why is Greenland white?
I’m not sure to be quite honest. Could it be snow on ice. You’d better ask the graphic makers.
For what it’s worth PIOMAS forecasts 5mil for the minimum.

PIOMAS predicting an increase?
Wow.

That can’t be. Record low ice volume, hottest year ever and hot pink in the Arctic this winter.. Someone must be lying about something.
No death spiral???
I confess, it’s in my cocktail…. 😉
If it wasn’t for this alarmist hysteria, no one would know or care a rat’s behind about a tiny patch of ice worth of difference over 30 years. It actually seems like we are going thru a period of unusual climatic stability.
IT’S A DEATH SPIRAL!!!!!!!!!
You need to show the comparison in the summer when the difference is larger.

It’s not constrained by land mass in the summer.

We are all going to die a fiery death.
