Q: Is global warming evident in the temperature records of Wisconsin for the past 30 or 40 years? Winters seem to be getting a whole lot warmer.
A: Indeed, and winter is actually warming faster than summer in Wisconsin, says Ankur Desai, an assistant professor of atmospheric and oceanic sciences at UW-Madison. “The annual average temperature has risen 1.1 degrees Fahrenheit, which is pretty consist with global trends, but what is different in Wisconsin is the strong increase in winter temperatures, of about 2.5 degrees in winter, and almost 4 degrees in the Northwest.”
They are using a pretty ugly trick. Over the last thirty years there has been no change in Wisconsin winter temperatures.
Over the last decade, winter temperatures have plummeted.
So what’s the trick? There were three very cold winters in the late 1970s which pull the left side down.
Winters in Wisconsin are just as cold now as they were ninety years ago.

If they have to pull tricks like that, their science stinks. The winter of 2009 was the 19th coldest on record in Wisconsin and the winter of 2008 was the 32nd coldest. This past winter was the 44th coldest.
Good catch!

speaking of statistics:
Presidential approval rate falling—-even AMONG LIBERALS!
….the lowest level of Strong Approval yet recorded for this president. There has been a sharp decline in enthusiasm among liberal voters. Currently, just 37% of liberals Strongly Approve of the president’s performance. That’s down from 63% a year ago…….

some more numbers:
Republicans Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney lead President Obama in Florida, according to a poll out today on the 2012 presidential race.

I personally don’t like either Romney or Huckabee but I’d take either over Obama.
A comment I wrote on facebook defending you Steven:
A good example of how climate scientists lie, pointed out by Steven Goddard. This is an excellent example of Steven Goddard doing research to REFUTE the claims of one Ankur Desai, Assistant Professor of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at UW-Madison. It’s clear that the Assistant Professor uses LIES, DAMNED LIES and STATISTICS to distort the reality of climate in Wisconsin. Shame on Ankur Desai. Excellent work Steven Goddard!

Those late 70’s were so useful for warmists. The winters of 1977, 1978 and 1979 were the most severe 3 consecutive winters in American History. Any other period is going to look warm by comparison.
We were not exactly in the Stone Age at that time and producing much more CO2 than in 1910 or 1860, yet those 3 years were considerably colder.
Imma linking this to my FB, too. Woot!
And where exactly are the winters becoming “a whole lot warmer”? Not in the States or England or Australia or South America or Canada or New Zealand. Where exactly is this occurring and who exactly is suffering from it?
