Study: Global warming will challenge ski industry
Colorado’s ski areas will have to carve runs higher up the mountains and triple their snowmaking if they are to co-exist with global warming over the coming decades, a new study says.
That extra snowmaking will require a lot more water at a time when it is very expensive to buy senior water rights, says the study presented today to the American Geophysical Union conference in San Francisco. And it would have to come from a distance away, because any diversion close by would harm wildlife habitats.
TELLURIDE — According to a recently published report by the National Wildlife Federation on the effects of global warming, Colorado’s ski industry has reason to worry.
Published on Jan. 28 and titled “Odd-Ball Winter Weather: Global Warming’s Wake-Up Call for the Northern United States,” the report outlines oddball winter events across the country and states that those oddities in weather events will continue if global warming pollution continues unabated.

SUMMIT COUNTY — As researchers get closer to pinpointing climate change impacts to the ski industry — at least in New England — one Colorado politician has enlisted some ski luminaries in the fight against global warming.http://coppercoloradocondos.com/
SALT LAKE CITY — Ski resorts across the country are using the Thanksgiving weekend to jump start their winter seasons, but with every passing year comes a frightening realization: If global temperatures continue to rise, fewer and fewer resorts will be able to open for the traditional beginning of ski season.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

They’ll probably start charging an extra fee “Fund to cover future Snow Loss” and we’ll control the money until it happens, Oh sorry, no refunds
Oh please, get with it. That was then, when he had global warming. Now that it is climate disruption, every type of weather event is consistent with computer model forecasts (LOL/ sarc off).
