Texas Glaciers Melting Fast

T.Boone Pickens: “I am a geologist but I do believe global warming is a problem. Those glaciers are melting too fast for me.” Both responses were followed by applause from the audience.

He was on one of todays political shows, he is upset with potus for not pushing renewable energy, Gee I wonder why

  2. Tony Duncan says:

    Steve,

I thought he recently was divesting out of wind. I just googled an awful lot of sites that seem to be saying that, but didn’t check the details.

    • Dave G says:

Yes he is Tony, and why?

    • Paul H says:

He has certainly postponed his big Texas project but is already committed to buying $2 billion worth of turbines from GE, so he has got to find a way of using them on existing projects or selling them.

He has too much to lose to give up on wind power now.

  3. Tony Duncan says:

    Paul,

OK, that makes sense. I just remember some right wing sites crowing that even Pickens know knew ACC to be a fraud and that was why he gave up the Texas thing.

  4. Paul H says:

Oh well, as Tony has not said it, I better had.

Steve, I can’t see any evidence that T Bone Steak actually said the glaciers were in Texas.

    Night!

    • Tony Duncan says:

      Paul.

      T. Boon (as I affectionately know him) is building a theme park with melting glaciers and you can ride a kayak in the meltwater underneath them to see first hand how that lubricates slippage toward the ocean.

  5. Anything is possible says:

A good job glaciers are melting. If not, they’d expand until the covered the entire surface of the Earth.

Then we really would be f***ed.
