“The end of the world as we know it”

Many scientists expect that as the planet’s temperature rises, global warming could add even more devastation. ”The current rate and magnitude of climate change are faster and more severe than many species have experienced in their evolutionary history,” says the lead author of the Nature study, Anthony Barnosky.

    The magic word “could”…..

Scientists predict that if frogs could fly…………

You know, none of this passes the sniff test.
How stupid would someone have to be, to believe that glorified weathemen can predict the weather 50 or 100 years out.
All they can do is follow trends.

25% say global warming will create more clouds – and clouds cause warming
25% say global warming will create more clouds – and clouds cause cooling
25% say global warming will create less clouds – and clouds cause warming
25% say global warming will create less clouds – and clouds cause cooling

Who was the moron that posted you needed to dig hard to get the facts?

How about figuring out the basics first……….

Exactly. Everyone agrees that clouds are a major player in our climate……. only there’s no agreement on quantifying their effects. But they can come to a consensus of what’s going to happen in the next 50 years? Someone explain that.

Of course, to get a general idea of what the net effect of clouds are, on a hot sunny day, measure the temp. Wait for a cloud to cross between you and the sun. Measure the temp. Its harder to do, but do the same at night. Notice the difference of the two differences. Climate science is sooooo hard.

“From 1941 to 2005, adult butterflies around Melbourne emerged from their pupal stage 1.5 days earlier each decade.” This is a disaster, how?? Who’s to say they weren’t emerging late before??

It’s stunning how far they will go in predicting doom. We keep discovering more species and they say they are going extinct at an alarming rate. How can they possibly believe what’s happening at present is the worse possible thing that has happened in evolutionary time? The only reason anybody notices “climate change” is we are told to. There is nothing that would make anyone think what we experience isn’t just normal weather.
