95 – Count Em

You’ve given the picture, and a link to the picture – which is repititious.
What is the 95?
Who says it’s 95?
If you want me to spread the word – don’t keep it secret.
95 is the official sunspot number.
Yes, the activity is the lowest since modern counting records began, and one of the lowest periods in history (going back to the 1600s or so). This is in amount (number) of sunspots, and the duration of this solar cycle (longer cycle=weaker sun). The sun has been in a weakened state for over two years now, and the prediction by NASA is for a very low peak value to occur in 2012. The peak of this current cycle was supposed to have occurred in early 2010.
Is solar activity still way below normal?
The all knowing government freaks who consider them self’s experts on climate are still saying that La Nina will weaken this year. With a sleeping sun, how do they assume that this will happen? Perhaps under water volcano’s, or will Romm bring out more crayons and force the Pacific to warm up.

The 10.7 cm flux is a good indication of solar activity

Hi Steven,
I count like 9 spots and that is being generous.
It’s really naked.
Has anyone proposed a name for this period ?
I see two an a half sun spots of any significance in this image, Is there a standard to what size the spot has to be before it qualifies as an actual “sunspot”??
