The CO2 they generate somehow aggravates the climate problem, causing neurotic 16 year olds under the influence of Al Gore to feel suicidal.

Yes, we are part of that annual mass migration of creatures known as snowbirds. In our little part of Green Valley half to two-thirds of the people in our complex are here for anywhere from two to four months.
The question “Where are you from?” could be tiring, but here everyone is from somewhere else — given the age restrictions for residence in the majority of the housing developments, no one is born and raised here and there are no schools.

My neighbors head to florida each year for 5-6 months. I can’t understand how they can take the heat down there….oh, hang on, i recorded several -30C this winter…come to think of it, is there any room left down there?
I am a climate refugee from Breckenridge, Colorado. This weekend I begin my annual trip back to Colorado from Tucson. I am not looking forward to assesing the damage from over 500 inches of snow that fell on my house this winter. I am one of those that moved to Breck for the winter but stayed for the summer. I attended an sustainibility conference in Breck last summer that is attempting to prepare Breck for global warming. Bring it on.
The good news here is the price of a used landyacht. Those suckers are cheap! If you can’t afford a vacation home, how does 20K sound for a big, tacky, rolling behemoth? So you spend $500 in gas to get there. Then you park it for a few months and shrivel in the AZ sun. At night you wear your latest plaid pants and white belt out to dinner and scare the little kids. It’s a tradition, damnit!
Other climate refugees can be found each summer in the Caribbean, Kenya, Bali etc.
