Facts are apparently not important to the EPA. 2008, 2010 and 2011 were actually three of the four snowiest winters on record in North America. 2010 was the snowiest winter on record. April, 2011 was the tenth snowiest April on record in North America.
Not only is the winter extent increasing, but the western US and Canada likely has the deepest snowpack ever measured in mid-May.
Snow expected in Lake Tahoe, California today. Could interfere with famous bike race. Some locals hope it’s just a joke forecast:

EPA : Loss Of Snow In North America Is Proof Of Global Warming?
No, it’s proof of +PDO.
…..2008, 2010 and 2011 were actually three of the four snowiest winters on record in North America……
PDO shifted from (+) to (-) in 1999. The effect of that is now evident in these snow totals. PDO is still (-) so snow totals should stay high for years. Arctic ice summer minimum should continue to trend up for years too.
no no
Warmer air holds more moisture and makes more snow…er, rain….uh, snowrain
and it’s a special kind of snowrain and doesn’t have to be cold any more
This is the problem they face. They argue a warmer climate means more and less snow. It’s called flexible climate projections. 😉
1971 to 1977 was pretty low extent. Since 2007 every year has been higher.

Islands disappear due to global warming. 🙂

Summer is almost upon us.
Not in Colorado. We are still having January temperatures.
Summer? What’s that?
In Vancouver, we’re having perpetual fall like weather and spring has yet to show up (except for a few days)… each day is many degrees C below the average high… and typically hovers around a ~25~30 with some ~100 year low… of late.
Today for instance it’s 12c, back in 1997 today was 26c! The average high is 19c with the average low being 8c.
Local farmers are very worried about getting their crops started… I hear that is a concern in many other parts of N.A..
I live in Eastern Washington.
I see flood watch and warnings. That are all over the northwest region.

Climate experts have now determined in peer reviewed publications that warming can cause both more and less snow.
EPA: “We’re just gonna keep lyin’ until you boobs get right with the story!”
Its kinda fun watching these alarmist talk circles around themselves. Snow is a thing of the past….. because global warming. But later snow is caused by global warming….. because of the warmcold flavor of climate change. Bwahahahahahahhahhaha!!
friends of mine went snowmobiling in Rockies in Alberta/BC(last weekend) and said the snow pack was incredible still…they have snowmobiled for years and cannot recall ever this much snow.
The Olympic committee picked a bad year to have the Olympics in Vancouver last year. La Nina would have made this year much better.
