There is not one shred of evidence to suggest that the 1967 borders will bring peace. They certainly didn’t bring peace in 1967.

The entire region lives for violence. If it was not for the Israel was not there they would be fighting each other. Did we forget the Iran Iraq war and the many other conflicts going on in the region.

It’s not that progressives are ” . . . imagining that the world was a better place in the past”, it’s that they’re indistinguishable from children. To the extent the parents can make it so, the child’s world is safe and stable and their needs are taken care of. The mindset of the progressive is one that never got over the adolescent angst precipitated by the discovery that the world is otherwise.
Maybe they should go back to the 1948 borders and start again.
It is interesting that the Palestinians (some) are portrayed as terrorists just as the Israelis were prior to independance.
Maybe the displaced Palestinians should be given reservations and open casinos.
Israel was attacked in 1948 about two hours after the British troops left. They lost more than 10% of their population in that war,
