Vostok ice core data

Over the last sixty years, atmospheric CO2 has risen almost 50% higher than at any other time during the last 400,000 years. Temperatures at Vostok during that time have been flat to down.
The implication is that climate sensitivity is zero, and that past (lagging) changes in CO2 are are due to outgassing and absorption of CO2 by the oceans.
Why is this obvious fact being ignored by climate scientists?
We’re still only talking 1/2 of a degree……..
and the rise from 1700 was steeper, faster, and greater
I never thought I would see so many people ‘claiming’ to be hysterical about 1/2 a degree.
When most of that is from adjusting past temperatures down……………..
In Vostok (where the historical CO2/temperature data comes from) there has been no rise in temperature.
Yeh, Vostok……. its funny that alarmist bring it up from time to time. If you ask me, this kills their Malthusian fantasy. That’s a great graphic Steve.
Steve, this is a very interesting observation. First, it simply adopts the IPCC’s endorsed use of a single measurement location to represent global historical temperature trends. Second, it demonstrates the contention that, over a semicentennial temporal window, CO2 has no measurable impact on temperature, when using the IPCC gold-star site to represent global temperatures. Hmmm…
Perhaps this is another divergence problem in the 20th century climate data, such that the Vostok CO2-temp relationship needs to be truncated, to improve communicating the coming catastrophe to the general public.
Imagine where we’d be if the ultraviolet catastrophe (blackbody emitted intensity going to infinity as wavelength approaches zero) in the early 1900’s had been labeled a ‘divergence issue’ and cleansed from publicly funded reports to improve public communications…
