http://data.giss.nasa.gov/

The warmest spring temperatures in Greenland were during the 1930s. The was a brief period of sharp warming during the late 1990s, but over the last half dozen years, temperatures have been dropping at a rate of over 30 degrees per century.

Hillary expressed her deep concern about global warming last month in Nuuk.

There is still snow on the ground in Nuuk on June 18.

Steve, that’s a great graph! We’ve been told we’ve been undergoing global warming since the 80s. And that most of the warming occurs at the polar regions. But looking at your graph, the recent warming (not as much as the 30s) started after 1993. So, does global warming selectively hot up regions close to or in the polar areas?

It also does indicate, that most of the warming occurred in the 90s and have started their way back down….though, that’s a significant plummet.

Would spring temperatures in Nuuk happen to correlate fairly well with this?

Temperatures will have to fall pretty low to affect the cherry harvest.
