No hurricanes have struck the US since Obama became president, temperatures and sea level have dropped, and we have had record snow. Reservoirs are filling up – and all of the damage Bush did to the climate has been healed.
Obama should declare “mission accomplished” and take credit!
“This was the moment when the rise of the? oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal”
Well in all honesty, the seas did stop rising……………;-)
Hasn’t been much healing in Joplin and Tuscaloosa, but those cities are inhabited by evil climate change deniers, so it serves them right.
If either of those cities had been located about 20 north/west/east/south of the path of the tornado, the F5 tornado that destroyed the communities would not have even made the news.
Fact is, the path and creation / location of tornados are random..the USA is large…very large. Its just too bad they hit a developed area this time..very sad…you really can’t blame it on mankind…or effects of mankind…that is just ignorant..
Ian
Ian: I think you missed the sarcasm
Ah, Ian, but you can blame it on “evil” mankind.
If they hadn’t developed that area, the tornado would have toppled trees and blown a few buffaloes into the next watershed, but no human deaths would have occurred.
Absolutely! The correlation-is-causation proof is so compelling, its not even worth looking any deeper. QED, as they say.
Just like during Obamapalooza, the god-like Pharaoh Ramses II declared in one of his throne speeches in the movie “The Ten Commandments”-
“So let it be written. So let it be done.”
The power of this modern child-king, this conqueror over the Anthropocenic armageddon, is truly awesome…
and the crowd shouts: “He is the Messiah! He is the Messiah!”. We need someone to say “He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!”
How about “Brian! Brian!”
Then we can all break into song- “Always look on the bright side of life”.
🙂
I’m Brian…so’s me’ wife!
The Roman hero when triumphantly riding his chariot through the streets of Rome, had a slave ride with him and whisper in his ear – “You are mortal”.
Even Julius Caesar, who was proclaimed a god after his death, had this treatment when he came to Rome after crossing the Rubicon.
Perhaps if the current US president had used a modern equivalent of the whispering slave when he gave his victory speech in 2008, he wouldn’t have become as arrogant as he seems to be – Nah, what was I thinking!
And there shall in that time be rumours of things going astray, and there will be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia work base, that has an attachment…at this time, a friend shall lose his friend’s hammer and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before around eight o’clock…
But don’t you see?…it’s backfired! The lack of hurricanes has led to drought conditions in Texas! If they get hit by some hurricanes (or more preferably tropical depressions or something), then maybe they’ll get more rain.
Seriously though, when will we/did we get to the 1000 day mark since the U.S. was hit by a hurricane?
-Scott
Seven days.
Interesting site – I just came across it. Insightful comments.
Finally, the alarmists have turned things around, now we can move on
I guess that is what it takes, a nice cold shit that doesn’t warm up the toilet water before it gets flushed!
Wow! This is like awesome news following the massive public let-down resulting from John Edwards failed promise that by legally harvesting embryonic stem cells, Edwards/Kerry “will stop juvenile diabetes, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s and other debilitating diseases” and will enable the crippled to “get up out of that wheelchair and walk again.”
you mean, Barry Soetoro
and now GLOBAL COOLING
Great. Then the money that goes into green technology can be eliminated. What a great start to balancing our budget. Ethanol, LED bulbs, solar panels and windmills don’t need to be funded anymore. Global warming is a thing of the past. Drill, baby, drill.
