C’mon, we all know that the answer depends on who’s asking and the ethnicity (and sexuality and progressive bona fides) of A and B.
Clearly, if a person of one of the cooler minorities should ask that question, and Person A is also of an appropriate minority whereas Person B is an elderly, white, affluent, well-educated Englishman in a profitable manufacturing industry, married to a woman, then Person B is a racist.
You better believe that our non-racist President will get a huge turnout of same or similar people, 97% giving him their rubber stamp of approval. He is already groveling for 2012 election contributions.
Ah, but what if he ends up running against a woman? America made Obama its first black President. A way to trump that? Elect the first woman President. If the Republicans don’t have a woman nominee America may stick with feeling proud over itself that it made a black man President and give him a second term—regardless of performance in the first term.
Ok, so Barack Obama had already played more golf in his first 10months as President than George Bush did in all 8 years he was President. And no one in the media is crying day and night about how much Obama is away from the office. I don’t know if that’s ‘reverse’ racism, but it sure is clear they are favoring the black guy—opps, I just said the word that must not be spoken.

First, he represents a truly inspiring American exceptionalism: He is the first black in the entire history of Western civilization to lead a Western nation—and the most powerful nation in the world at that. Thus his presidency flatters America to a degree that no white Republican can hope to compete with. He literally validates the American democratic experiment, if not the broader Enlightenment that gave birth to it.
He is also an extraordinary personification of the American Dream: Even someone from a race associated with slavery can rise to the presidency. Whatever disenchantment may surround the man, there is a distinct national pride in having elected him……..
The point is that anyone who runs against Mr. Obama will be seen through the filter of this racial impressionism, in which white skin is redundant and dark skin is fresh and exceptional. This is the new cultural charisma that the president has introduced into American politics………

Is “politician” intended to refer to the same person in each question? If so, then the dichotomy is a false one – and it also suggests that you believe that the ethnicity of the person in the first question also implies that such person is incompetent, inexperienced and dishonest.
