The Supreme Court threw out a California law today banning violent video games sales to minors.
I was at E3 in LA two weeks ago, which is the big video game conference of the year. Lots of violent video games going on, and lots of computer nerds. Computer nerds are not killing people – gangs are.
As usual, California is attacking imaginary problems and avoiding dealing with any real issues.
The day is probably coming when America will march into California to free her from the Communists. Let’s hope that enough of America remains free to do so.
It was a weird decision – with only Beyer and Thomas dissenting. I am sure for different reasons. I will read the decision when I get a moment, but I tend to agree with the majority (and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth since it contains Buzzy, Soto and Kagan.
lol, Phil, I haven’t read it either, but you’re entirely correct. Beyer and Thomas?
Personally, I oppose any mindset that endorses the “It takes a village….” thought. We will error from time to time, as a society. But for me, I think we’ll be ok if we error on the side of freedom and liberty as oppose to suppression.
Could not have stated it better!
(haven’t read this decision yet, going by reports I heard)
Thomas was disappointing in this. That sucks because he has been the most reliable constitutionalist recently.
Scalia was formerly the most reliable constitutionalist. That was until the so-called ‘commerce clause’ gets invoked.
No-one is 100% perfect. The problem is, leftists use the weak spots to triangulate the good guys.
In Chicago kids are texting to commit flash mob violence. It’s time to ban texting and cell phones.
No, time to ban kids! 😉
It is illegal to ensite violence. No need to ban texting.
