“It’s been a long, tough journey. But we have made some incredible strides together. Yes, we have. But the thing that we all ought to remember is that as much as good as we have done, precisely because the challenges were so daunting, precisely because we we were inheriting so many challenges, that we’re not even halfway there yet. When I said ‘change we can believe in’ I didn’t say ‘change we can believe in tomorrow.’ Not change we can believe in next week. We knew this was going to take time because we’ve got this big, messy, tough democracy,” President Obama said at a campaign fundraiser in Chicago on Wednesday night.

poor whiney baby…….he didn’t inherit a perfect country to destroy
Several hundered years ago a gent by the name of Alexander Titler (sp) pointed out that democratic nations go through 7 stages. The last two being dicatorship and apathy. He also pointed out that no nation lasts once the voters finds out they can vote themselves money. We appear to be in the last stage and have voted ourselves money.

“We knew this was going to take time because we’ve got this big, messy, tough democracy.”
He finds dictatorships less ‘tough’ and ‘messy’. Give him a chance and he’ll change things alright.
Don’t you just hate it when that pesky democracy gets in your way? What a pompous ass.
A famous quote that’s worth repeating:
“It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried.”
Sir Winston Churchill
British politician (1874 – 1965)
You only need to listen to the man in this video to see how horrible a failure Communism is:

For once in his life he seems to be trying to finish a job he started. Unfortunately for America, it is her downfall.
The Tea Party is rising because they are determined to do the will of the people. Once they get strong enough in numbers they will wipe away the damage Obama is doing like brushing away a fly from your forearm.
Once the number of parasites outnumber the number of producers at the voting booth, we are in big trouble.
It already does!
Once the economic crash hits the number of parasites will be greatly reduced. There just won’t be any money go give them. The riot police and military will have to be called in to stop the parasites when they go into the streets run around out of control destroying things.
@ gator69 “He finds dictatorships less ‘tough’ and ‘messy’. Give him a chance and he’ll change things alright.”
The bad news is that you are completely correct about that. The worse news is that when the Republicans had the helm, they acted the same way.

A pox on both their houses!
Agreed … the ONLY way to stop them from spending our money is to QUIT giving them our money!

“F-16s intercept plane in Barrington as Obama arrives in Chicago”
“A plane flying out of Barrington was intercepted by two F-16 fighter jets early Wednesday night after the plane entered restricted airspace, which was temporarily put in place for President Barack Obama’s visit to Chicago.”
Wish it was me that got intercepted, I could have “met” some true hero’s (the F-16 pilots).
The wayward pilot had no radio, so I guess the F-16s must have been giving hand signals?,
how cool must that have been !!!!
Poor guy will probably have nightmares the rest of his life 🙂
There are just soooo many things wrong and disturbing about that speech that I don’t even know where to begin. Who out there still cannot see the Cloward & Piven to all of this? Who out there still cannot see the Saul Alinsky in all of this?
There are just soooo many things wrong and disturbing about that speech…
I guess he’s decided to strip off all pretense and run in naked communism.
big, messy, tough democracy….
He needs more time, maybe like one of those 5 year or 10 year plans the USSR Communists used to do, to rid the world of that messy democracy thing from America.
