David Barber Up To His Old Tricks

David “Rotten Ice” Barber told us a couple of years ago that multi-year ice had disappeared from the Arctic. He is back for another round of Canadian fish stories.

MONTREAL — A unique, all-season study of the effects of global warming in the Arctic Ocean shows that climate change is reducing biodiversity and posing “significant challenges to the survival of some of the Arctic’s unique marine species.”

The study also shows that climate change is resulting in the increased distribution through the Arctic food chain of contaminants, such as methylmercury.

The $40-million study, which was conducted by 10 scientific teams from 27 countries, spent 2007-2008 studying open water along what are called flaw leads, or breaks in multi-year ice, where they studied how global warming is changing the entire marine ecosystem in the Arctic.

The Arctic Ocean is definitely changing on a whole lot of different fronts,” said Prof. David Barber, of the University of Manitoba.

    What an ignorant fool!
Warming increases Biodiversity! Cooling reduces Biodiversity! There are Niche species that have adapted to survival in extreme cold conditions, but usually they are mutants of other members of the same species. In other words they are claiming Sub Species as being endangered species.
This guy is a definite candidate for a cranialanalectomy.

The study also shows that ecological change is resulting in the increased distribution through the Arctic food chain of contaminants, such as oily debris from vehicles, much domestic trash left blowing around, and the piles of human waste littering the pristine ice by hordes of overpaid, multinational, “scientists” that keep invading this fragile ecosystem.
If only a method could be found to restrict these over-important people from being paid to trash this important but delicate area of the world.

Good to see the previous two folks agreed that the climate is changing quicker than historical research has proven. We may disagree on whether it is a positive change or not but at least we agree on part of the science.
So are you both speech writers for the Wild Rose/Tea Party North out in Alberta during the day?

    Life is fun!
