question: some cities have those charging stations for elec cars…..are they metered? How do you pay for the charge? and how do they keep people from just parking there all day?
Taxes and first come first serve. They do not.

Let the California folk drive these electric cars. Due to temperate weather, they don’t need to use the heat or A/C like we do in Chicago.

there are a lot of places in California that needs A/C and heating very much.
Concurr most wholeheartedly, as a one time involuntary resident of the land of fruits & nuts, I can attest to the heating & cooling needs. The temp can vary as much as 40 degrees in 30 miles, 100+ degree summers, mountains with the expected snow (Lake Tahoe), etc. The sick part is Kali is doing everything they can to destroy energy generation within the state, so they are charging up those sparky shoe boxes with imported electric power.
All lefty liberal politicians must buy (unsubsidized price) an electric vehicle and must uses it as their only means of transport.
Then, one day they may see the error of their ways!
The first time they need that EV in an emergency situation.
Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and
