A Not So Beautiful Mind

Princeton mathematician John Nash suffered from schizophrenia, and constantly imagined that he saw non-existent patterns. He also did some very good mathematical and cryptographic work.

I have been exchanging E-mails with a famous climate alarmist who also imagines that he sees non-existent patterns in weather and climate.

drought and flood both seem more prevalent–which is what you’d expect,  i guess, as the atmosphere grows wetter

Unlike John Nash, this person appears to be lacking any critical thinking skills.

drought … is what you would expect …. as the atmosphere grows wetter

  1. Latitude says:

…so I guess we can see less drought and flood
    since humidity has been decreasing

  2. Bruce of Newcastle says:

Tell him or her to have a chat with Mike Lockwood about jet stream blocking, which causes more extremes at your latitude, and which increases in deep solar minima.

Prof Lockwood appears to sit on the fence climatically, since he’s happy to address solar influence on the jet stream but rejected, in Lockwood & Fröhlich 2007 for specious and very poorly supported reasons, the clear link between previous solar cycle length and temperature.

  3. Andy DC says:

    Thus the origin of “droughtflood”!

  4. Me says:

So what’s the chance this famous climate alarmist is Hayhoe?
