Last summer, Jr. Dessler declared the Texas drought to be permanent.
Eight months later, all that is left of the permanent drought is southwest Texas ….
with heavy rain on the way.

I think it’s odd that there’s a drought in the desert……………
Fascinating thought, That! But then I was raised in the desert.
They have long had a word to describe the desert drought: ARID!
The Chicken Little Brigade even provide the information on their web site:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arid
Excerpt:
A region is said to be arid when it is characterized by a severe lack of available water, to the extent of hindering or even preventing the growth and development of plant and animal life. As a result, environments subject to arid climates tend to lack vegetation and are called xeric or desertic.
West Texas!
Yeah but Mike….how in this world do you measure a drought….in the desert?
Lat:
I am a Desert Rat. I have no friggin clue how one would set about doing that magic trick!
Maybe David Copperfield knows.
