Greens Shooting Scientists

Nutcase alarmists who think they are saving the planet.

A loose coalition of eco-anarchist groups is increasingly launching violent attacks on scientists.

A group calling itself the Olga Cell of the Informal Anarchist Federation International Revolutionary Front has claimed responsibility for the non-fatal shooting of a nuclear-engineering executive on 7 May in Genoa, Italy. The same group sent a letter bomb to a Swiss pro-nuclear lobby group in 2011; attempted to bomb IBM’s nanotechnology laboratory in Switzerland in 2010; and has ties with a group responsible for at least four bomb attacks on nanotechnology facilities in Mexico. Security authorities say that such eco-anarchist groups are forging stronger links.

  1. If they weren’t shooting scientists they would be shooting capitalists or possibly Jews, blacks, browns, Catholics, or whoever is politically correct to shoot at the moment.

Well, we know how morally decrepit they are.

    Hold it!

“Informal Anarchist Federation International Revolutionary Front”

Definition of ‘Anarchy’ 1: absence of government

Definition of ‘Federation’ 1: a group of states with a central government…

These have to be the dumbest MFr’s on the planet!

    • Eric Simpson says:

Plus, if they want anarchy, who should they go after?
“In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that .. the threat of global warming.. would fit the bill…[we] believe humanity requires a common motivation, namely a common adversary in order to realize world government.” -Club of Rome

    • Jason Calley says:

The dumbest — or maybe imaginary. Could be either one. There have been multiple cases in the last few years where fake “anarchists” are put forward in what may be an attempt to discredit people with anti-government ideas. http://www.infowars.com/articles/ps/spp_montebello_canadian_police_caught_stage_riots.htm
Similar fake groups have been put forward in the past, including the bloody “Operation Gladio” which murdered civilians in Italy during the 1970’s. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXavNe81XdQ

Anyway, the anarchists I have known were all very bright, very polite and vehemently against the instigation of violence — which makes me wonder when I read about “bomb-throwing anarchists.” On the other hand, the Marxists I have known have all been varying degrees of young, misinformed and/or bat-guano crazy. Maybe these people are Marxists who don’t know what anarchy means, and just think the name sounds cool. You are right though, that if this “anarchist” group is real, they have their collective head deeply inserted someplace it was not meant to go.

Hey Jason! There is a fine line between Libertarian and Anarchist. I consider myself the former, and yet somehow, decidedly not the latter.

      • Jason Calley says:

Hey Gator, yes, I put myself on the libertarian side as well. I guess the most accurate description is that I am a “Jeffersonian min-archist”, which is to say, I support the smallest practical government combined with a foundation based on natural rights. Having said that, the anarchists I have spoken with say that “if small government is good, no government is better.” I see their point — but in my opinion we humans still have enough of the monkey in us that the great bulk of people neither desire nor are able to function without at least some rudimentary government to serve as a social framework. Anarchists, on the other hand, think that there is NO function which government serves that could not be done as well or better if supplied by a free market. As they say, “anarchy does not mean no rules, just no rulers!”

Anyway, I don’t want to go to great lengths about what I understand to be anarchist’s beliefs — but I would say that based on what I have observed, they are some of the most polite and ethical folk I have run into. I believe that there is a real attempt made in the MSM to demonize their ideas. For any who are interested, http://www.strike-the-root.com/ is one of their better sites.

  4. shooting of a nuclear-engineering executive

Thank God they didn’t send him a nasty e-mail first, or David Appell would be forced to write a mendacious weblog posting about them.

  5. Edward. says:

Can’t help thinking, the authorities order teachers, to inculcate and propagandize, to teach dumb stuff in the classroom, Hansen, Gore and Lovelock preach doom and destruction and the politicians join in – chicken little’s all and this has been going on for 20 years or more.

Then, there are some warped minds out there and empty heads put two and two together – can’t figure the math and go out anyway and try and murder a ‘nuclear-engineering executive’, mad, bad and loony but as they have been wound up, so they are now ticking.

And, as if life ain’t hard enough, God help us.

  6. Sundance says:

What I found most ironic in the story is that these eco-extremists used letter bombs just like Ted Kaczynski. If only Heartland had waited a couple of weeks maybe they wouldn’t have seen such a backlash to their Kaczynski billboard.

  7. leftinbrooklyn says:

Oh no! Not the OCOTIAFIRF!! Noone expects the Olga Cell of the Informal Anarchist Federation International Revolutionary Front!

The absurdity of these people is only exceeded by their depravity.

  8. Kaboom says:

  9. Jean-Paul says:

It must be pro-science anarchists trying to shut the mouth of anti-science scientists

Low kill rate. Any belgian non-terrorist muslim with an AK 47 and a grenade beats that.
