Colorado boy, 6, suspended for sexual harassment
May 4, 2012AURORA, Colo.—A 6-year-old boy was suspended from his suburban Denver school for three days after school officials say he told a girl “I’m sexy and I know it,” a line from a popular song.
The first-grader at Sable Elementary School in Aurora is accused of sexual harassment and disrupting other students, according to a letter the school district sent to the boy’s mother after he was sent home Wednesday.

This is not my idea of liberalism. Society is becoming more and more uptight.
It’s sad that our teachers and schools are more worried about stuff like this than they are bullying which is what is really have a negative impact on children. Now people are trying to fix or change things that aren’t problems and instead they ignore the real problems.
Pathetic.
That’s a good attitude! I appreciate that. If there is any type of liberalism that is good, it would be one based on trying to help people for real, not this type of nitpicking meddling stuff.
Take smoking. There’s actually marginal evidence that second hand smoke causes any damage at all. But in places like Marin county CA the libs have just gone overboard, banning it in all outdoor public places, and the indoors and outdoors (as patios) of private apartment buildings. It seems the libs just want to rub the noses of smokers in it. The libs are going to do it…. just because they can. Not good. It’s causing people to fume, pun intended.
Same with the controls on food, like salt and fat. There is a thing called making your own free choices. Suddenly food regulations have become a major touchy issue for conservatives, making them fuming mad, yet the libs just continue to push and push and push despite this. You can’t set controls on food if half or more of the population is adamantly against it. Or you are going to have major backlash. Back off! Relax.
Freedom counts for something. Once the libs realize this, maybe there’s some chance that people from the left and right can start to come together again.
I considering confronting real issues to be a form of liberalism. Confronting issues that need to be resolved in order to make us a more free and open society.. Sometimes that means rocking the boat. Which people don’t always want to do. Real conservatism and liberalism should complement each other at some level.
I’m conservative in that I’m not out making babies I don’t/can’t support and I’m not spending money that I don’t have. I think society now puts too much importance on material things. I’m not big on flaunting your sex life and things like that out in the open. I mean there is a time and place for things… But I think people would get what I mean.
I think Heston is probably someone I would admire. At least until the 80’s… And still in some ways after that, but it’s more shady post 70’s. Not all bad, but more uneven. His calling out rap for instance… I don’t understand how some can support music that blatantly encourages violence, mistreatment of women and everything else. It’s so excessive. Don’t get me wrong, I love my gangster films and stuff… But music can have such a big impact on people. In a positive or negative sense.
As far as smoking goes… It really bothers me when others smoke around me because I have trouble breathing around it. It’s a tough issue for me because it’s tough for me to be impartial about it. Due to how my body reacts to it, I would say I sympathize with the anti smoking people on that one.
Reblogged this on Climate Ponderings.
In related news a student is suing her school for lost income, etc., because she couldn’t get into the Law course she wanted to do. She paid them to not make her lazy or stupid, but they failed.

Homeschooling. I’m not sure it’s the answer but I can certainly understand my friends that do it.
The kid does not even know what it means.
Thank god I got out of school long before this insanity hit.
What if he’d said “I’m homosexy and I know it”? Somehow, I don’t think he would have been suspended in that case…the irony is really sad.
