Lugar Goes Down In Flames – Blames Global Warming

Six-term Sen. Richard Lugar, who CNN projected would lose his bid for the GOP Senate nomination in Indiana, issued the following statement shortly after his concession speech Tuesday night:

Republicans cannot admit to any nuance in policy on climate change. Republican members are now expected to take pledges against any tax increases.

In statement, Lugar defends campaign while criticizing partisan environment – CNN Political Ticker – CNN.com Blogs

There can be little doubt that tax increases will improve the climate. NASA’s top scientist has made this important connection – which I explain below.

The albedo of the Arctic is normally very high, due to white ice, snow and clouds – as seen in the satellite picture below. However, adding dollar bills to the surface of the ice causes it to absorb more sunlight. Thus by confiscating dollars from American citizens who might drop them on the ice, the global temperature is suppressed.

Revolutionary breakthrough is science! More bang for the buck than the stimulus package! Give that man a Nobel Prize!!

  2. omanuel says:

May former Senator Lugar not be the last to realize the seething anger against politicians who

a.) Sent our manufacturing jobs overseas
b.) Allowed Presidents to treat US citizens as cattle
c.) Ignored the erosion of citizens’ constitutional rights
d.) Squandered public funds to battle imaginary global warming
e.) That Climategate emails and documents revealed to be fictitious

  3. Lou says:

Does Lugar not listen to Inhofe over climate warming hoax?

    • He may be collecting information from Senator Inhofe now.

Climategate documents and lock-step responses of world leaders and organizations like the UN’s IPCC, US National Academy of Sciences, UK’s Royal Society, the Nobel Prize Committee, Proceedings of the National Academy and the Royal Society, AGU, ACS, APS, Nature, Science, etc. ad infinitum, and especially the feverish response of Dr. Peter Gleick

Exposed 64 years of misuse of government science to promote favorite models of reality instead of using reality to test scientific models, from the time Hiroshima was destroyed in August 1945 until Climategate documents and emails were released in November 2009.

Along the way, NASA was caught on CSPAN news in 1998 releasing data from the 1995 probe of Jupiter that confirmed the Sun’s iron-rich interior and cost the American public over $1,000,000,000 on the Galileo Mission:

Oliver, when I see your comments I picture one of those poor souls in Davey Jones’ locker, slowly becoming part of the woodwork, mumbling like Billy Bob Thorton in “Slingblade.” Hummm…yeah….64 years…hhmm…yeah. You, sir, are a freaking talking barnacle.

“fear of nuclear fear”? That reminds me of supposedly ancient radioactive area in India and somewhere in north Africa based on greenish melt sand glass…. Also this one as well – http://www.robertschoch.com/plasma.html

      • Lou says:

        *nuclear fire…

      • omanuel says:

@Mike Managan Dream on ! You have many well wishers in the AGW camp.

@Lou Thanks for the link to Robert Schoch.

There were natural “nuclear fires” on Earth while the U-235/U-238 ratio was high enough* to support a self-sustaining fission chain reaction.

a.) Kuroda’s efforts to report this in 1956 were limited to two one-page notes [1].

b.) The French Atomic Energy Commission confirmed a natural self-sustaining fission chain reactor in the uranium ore being mined at Oklo, Gabon in 1972.

c.) You can read Kuroda’s 1983 paper on the Oklo Mine [2].

d.) Efforts to obscure information on the source of energy that creates elements, powers the Sun, controls Earth’s climate, and sustains life are documented here:

        1. P. K. Kuroda, “On the nuclear physical stability of the uranium minerals,” J. Chem. Physics 25, 781 (1956); “On the infinite multiplication constant and the age of the uranium minerals,” J. Chem. Physics 25, 1256 (1956).

        2. P. K. Kuroda, ”The Oklo phenomenon,” Naturwissenschaften 70, 536-539 (1983). http://www.springerlink.com/content/n556224311414604/

*U-235 decayed away faster that U-238. Natural uranium could not support a self-sustaining fission chain reactor during the last ~1.5 billion years (~1.5 Gyr).

  4. Eric Simpson says:

Yes, Lugar was a big climate change fan, and a supporter of Agenda 21 type actions. That doesn’t fly anymore with the Republican party.

It doesn’t take an Einstein or a Rhodes Scholar to realize this.

  5. Sundance says:

Indiana just hocked a loogie, so to speak. 🙂

  6. DirkH says:

But why then would Bernanke want to drop dollars from helicopters?

  7. bubbagyro says:

    Good riddance to bad rubbish.

    • Eric Simpson says:

What a climate clown Lugar was. Too smart for his own bridges to fall for the deceptions of the scare-mongering Chicken Littles. And to not recant after it became clear as day that the AGW theory is leftist driven tripe. Good riddance.
