New French President Won’t Suffer Fools

French President Francois Hollande skipped Mr. Obama’s remarks at Monday’s session, arriving to take his seat only after Mr. Obama had finished speaking. Mr. Hollande campaigned on a pledge to remove France’s 3,400 troops from Afghanistan by the end of this year, and he has publicly resisted efforts by Mr. Obama to reconsider his vow.

Don’t be so sure who the bigger fool is. Hollande is determined to raise the top tax rate to 75%. Seen that Will Smith interview on French TV where he vowed his allegiance to paying his fair share and fully support the French ideas, until the interviewer asked him what he thinks Hollande thinks it’s a fair share? Smith didn’t know, the interviewer told him “75%”, Will Smith scoffed and exclaimed “God Bless America.”

All French income millionaires are knocking at doors in Switzerland ATM. For Hollande, Obama is just an amateur.

That was a beautiful video! But, Smith is also an idiot. California, where the stars make their bread and butter is asking for a 16% income tax….. on top of ~ 35% . At the property taxes, sales taxes, luxury taxes, …. medi taxes…. well, we could go on for a while, but in the end, we see that Cali, if they pass this, won’t be far from France’s 75%.

      God Bless America.

  2. Afghanistan has lithium deposits (if you believe it).

It’s always amazing to see libs who vote for the left, then whine about (or cheat on) their taxes.

I have nothing against paying my fair share. In my case, I think “fair” should be somewhere around 2%. Of course, if the US Federal government were actually restricted to the functions which are authorized by the Constitution, 2% would be more than enough to fund it.

“Fair” is one of the most dangerous and destructive words in the English language — especially when uttered by a politician. Just like “beautiful” or “humorous,” it can mean almost anything to the person who spoke it, and yet 99% of the people who hear it will approve, and think they understand what it implies. “Equal”, while still somewhat fuzzy, is a much better word. For example, I do not want “fair” laws for everyone, but I will support the idea of equal laws for everyone.

Do not misunderstand this. Obama and Hollande are 2 peas in a pod. They could be kissing cousins pollitically. However they both must distance themselves from the failed policies of the other as they are reinforcing the fact that both policies are failures. Hollande cannot tout America as a model of what to become because America is failing. And Hollande is enacting the policies that Obama wants to, and it is driving off the wealthy – which Obama does not want America to see.

So while they are kissing cousins, they will always be the blame twins. Kind of like Stalin and Hitler – blaming the other for the failure of socialism, and that their way is the best way, yet neither one doing anything constructive.

That’s quite funny considering Hollande is a socialist. For real, not made up by his political opponents.

The French soldiers have hardly done anything useful since WW1. I’m not even sure why they’re in Afghanistan or what they’re doing.
The standing joke used to be a For Sale notice on a French army rifle – never fired and only dropped once.
Afghanistan does have lots of mineral potential though and some large known deposits too. Unfortunately, I’m sure they’ll never be developed as no company would take the risk on billions in expenditure as long as religious idiots with extortion on their minds are running around.
My thought has always been that if the Taliban and AlQuaida want it so much, just put a big fence around it and let them have it. They can’t come out, and we really have no need to go in.
