NOAA tells us every month ad nauseum, that temperatures have been above normal every month since 1985. Given that they now add more than half a degree on to all recent measured temperatures – this isn’t particularly surprising.
Most of us learned not to cheat as children. The rest became government scientists.

Yes, I too have wondered whether the half degree “correction” is still being applied to the years after 2000. If any of you out there have a chart showing difference between raw and final data sets which shows more recent years, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, this is exactly what I have been saying. You can’t trust climate scientists, at least the post 1990 vintage, that, as I understand it, were required to agree with the leftist fear-mongers to gain acceptance to the Chicken Little Brigade.
Almost all of the post 1990 climate scientists will toe the leftist line on climate change.
They are not an objective unbiased source; incredible as it sounds, but it’s true: climate scientists cannot be considered credible on… climate. Far from it. They will Hide the Decline until the cows come home.
The irony is that the doomsayers often try to smear as unworthy those that are not climate scientists. In fact, that is the first test of whether a source is credible, that they are NOT a post 1990 vintage climate scientist.

The sad thing is that grossly incompetent governments can set-up policies that destroy the country a decade later. (Greece and Spain spring to mind.) Sometimes you get lucky and the foolishness ends up nearly destroying the country quickly, so then the government can be kicked out and the policy changed.

IPCC predictions are consistently wrong because falsified data and incorrect assumptions produce inaccurate results, but that was their goal.
