Earlier this year, GISS cooled the past way down in Iceland, despite the fact that both the Icelandic Met Office and The UK Met Office agreed with the original data.
Today, GISS partially corrected the problem, thanks to bloggers and Mark Johnson pointing out their ridiculous data manipulation. Paul Matthews sent yesterday and today’s images over – seen in the blink comparator below. Still way off the mark, and still not up to speed for US government plausible deniability standards.
GISS has no valid reason to be tampering with this data. If the present refuses to get warmer, then the past must become cooler.
What they’re saying (look at 1940) is that their data comes ±3C, i.e. they’re perfectly useless
The problem is today’s temperature is tomorrow’s past temperature.
Prophet for profit Hansen and his disciples will walk us into the next ice age telling us global warming caused it because the adjusted temperature data set will show as such. Fifty years from now the temperature records for the present will have been adjusted much cooler than they are today. The data adjustment cycle will just go on.
Climate scientists are like punters being allowed to place bets on horses after the race has been won.
Good example of why ‘debate’ is so useless. Instead of the full lie, we now have half the lie. And this only on one single issue. And of course having shown how ‘reasonable’ they are here, they do not have to be reasonable elsewhere, at least for a bit.
This is why communication with liars is a waste of time. This is how the hippies practice corruption. Not addressing this, is why the hippies win. This is why the sensible mature good people are perfectly responsible for the sh@t state of this world.
Unfortunately, climate scientists have a long history of making things up and throwing away data that doesn’t ‘fit’ or is ‘suspect’. See:
