2009 : Holder Traveled To Mexico To Pretend He Wanted To Stop His Own Smuggling Operation

4/1/2009

Mexico has some of the toughest gun-control laws in the world, yet the country’s drug cartels are armed to the teeth with illegal weapons that are smuggled over the border from the United States.

On Thursday, Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano visit Mexico to discuss ways to stop the smuggling of American weapons, which Mexico says account for 90% of confiscated arms here. The meeting is part of an urgent American effort to aid Mexico as it fights a bloody war against drug cartels.

More than 6,300 people have died in drug-related violence since 2006, and some crime has spilled into the USA.

No, it was our undocumented Worker-in-Chief who claimed that 90% of the weapons were from the US. After he made that claim, the ATF corrected him and said that it is 15% US weapons and the vast majority are Russian. They were just trying to demonize the US as a source of weapons and Mexico is happy to parrot what our Fearful Leader wants to claim

Sure, we should work on preventing the 15% but how about the other 85% being brought in form other countries?

What did Calderón know, and when?

Thanks for pointing out that Calderón was in on the scandal. You’ll see that he does his part in promoting the administration’s spin before Congress like a compliant subordinate. To promote the administration’s anti-2nd amendmant agenda the Mexicans get sold out by team compassion.

Here’s why. I think Ann Coulter reads my blog! LoL!

The gun control assclowns were trying to find a wedge issue for gun control. So, they made up the 90% number. That number comes from the confiscated guns Mexico finds which they believe come from the U.S. Of the guns Mexico believes come from the U.S., 90% are from the U.S. Which is as Higley states, a small percentage of the guns actually in Mexico.

But, as this lie was being exposed and the cause evaporating, the administration decided to do something about it! They were going to make that 90% number retroactively true! All they had to do was send a few thousand guns over the border and presto! Done!

Oops, they didn’t intend a border agent actually get killed, just a bunch of Mexicans and a few U.S. civilians. Now, they’re scrambling. Murderous scumbags.

Counting Mexico’s guns, article from factcheck dot org, lays the debunking of the 90% figure (used by diverse democrats from Diane Feinstein to DIck Durban – in fact by all the notable gun grabbers) at the doorstep of Fox News.
I’d be interested in the ATF’s version from Higley.

  5. Kaboom says:

I guess Mexico’s proper step would be to declare all those drugs legal so the cartels won’t have to defend them anymore.

  6. Mike Mangan says:

Liberals think your’e stupid. Whenever they want to start a Big Lie they throw in a statistic with a number higher than 90%. It’s a magic number for them. 97% of “climate scientists.” 90% of weapons confiscated are American. 99% of Americans vs. the 1%. How can one argue against 90+%? To do so would make you a crazy person, wallowing in conspiracy theory.
