Is the EPA stupid, criminal, or both?
Thawing Permafrost
Permafrost refers to a layer of soil or rock that is frozen all year round. Permafrost is found throughout much of Alaska, parts of Canada, and other countries in the far north. You might think a place with permafrost would be barren, but plants can still grow in the soil at the surface, which is not frozen during warmer parts of the year. However, there may be a thick layer of permafrost underneath. As air temperature rises, so does the temperature of the ground, which can cause permafrost to thaw (or melt).
What’s happening now?
Ground temperatures have increased throughout Alaska since the late 1970s, and permafrost has already thawed in many places.

Complete BS. In 1954, Canada had to relocate their largest Arctic community – due to melting permafrost. That was 25 years earlier than the EPA’s claim.
You can go back much further than this. Scientific papers (peer reviewed, so they must be correct) report numerous instances of melting permafrost in the 19th century. No time to dig them up now, unfortunately.

Is the EPA stupid, criminal, or both? Yes.
Damn, I love this website Steven!

Thanks! I loved your Hawaii beach pix.
Didn’t Gore use those same buildings in his movie….showing them tilting and sinking
Stupid and criminal is not the complete discription. Insanity must be added in as well.
EPA is completely out of control – needs to be dissolved and started over from scratch. I remember the bad old days of the sixties living in Los Angeles…the air quality did get substantially better; so maybe at one time the EPA served a valid purpose. That once valid purpose has now been redirected to an all out war on truth and a war on the American economy.
Hey, guess what, you can contact them directly – I recommend you do!

This is limited-time offer though, so do it soon.
Let’s not let facts get in the way of a good narrative.
If the permafrost didn’t undergo periodic melting. the Russians wouldn’t have found mammoth bones (and entire mammoths) in the 18th Century.
