An unenlightened individual might think it is stupid to build an expensive house in a location surrounded by 50 foot tall kindling wood, which burns every few decades.
An enlightened green would instead recognize that the reason the house burned was due to “climate change” caused by evil “climate change deniers” This same individual would also recognize that CO2 generated by driving back and forth to the mountains every day, is not of the evil CO2 variety. Rather, it is a good form of CO2 generated by an individual who lives in harmony with nature.
It is also well known that having an Obama sticker or a bike rack on your car, makes your vehicle harmless to the environment.
A “Keep Lake Tahoe Blue” sticker on your SUV also helps negate CO2 emmissions also. An Obama sticker with a bike (or kayak) rack and a “Keep Lake Tahoe Blue” sticker may be enough to actually make a liberal’s SUV into a NET carbon sink and permit them to sell carbon credits.
I think the administration is giving the “enlightened greens” a hand in this. They’ve decimated the aerial firefighting fleet to just 9 planes flying for the U.S. forestry service. Last year, in August in the middle of the fire season, they simply canceled a contract with a company who had 6 planes and were going to add another. Originally, they said it was a safety issue, but, the FAA had already inspected the planes and approved them. The company had been flying for the FS for 50 years. The forestry service refused to meet with them to discuss as to why they canceled their contract.

Doing my best to look at things objectively, I think that every US President since 1968 has been implementing the gradual disassembly and sell off of the US.

Don’t be too hard on them – they are performing a valuable Darwinian function, namely voluntarily removing grossly damaged genes from the gene pool.
If I were running the show, I would encourage this sort of thing – even susidise it to a large extent. Of course, I would also barricade the exits during major fires as well.
We have this issue in Australia where local councils in country areas are making it difficult for landowners to protect their properties by clearing surrounding trees. So what happens now is that every few decades or so a bushfire rages through an area and the trees get destroyed anyway but now the local homes get taken with them.
