Today has been the hottest day of the year here in Fort Collins. The official high was 99.5
On June 23, 1954 the official high temperature was 102 degrees. It was 2.5 degrees hotter when CO2 was 320 PPM.
June, 1954 had eight days over 90 degrees. So far we have had six. Bill thinks that 350 PPM makes the world melt.

BTW – I don’t have an air conditioner in the house. It is about 98 degrees at my computer and I love it. Most of the year it is too cold here, and when we actually get a real summer it is cause for celebration.

It all depends on the humidity. 100 degrees F and lo humidity is comfortable especially with a breeze. 100 degrees with cloud cover, and no wind is miserable.
In the East and Midwest, it is going to be unseasonably cool by early next week.

Everytime they scream ‘all-time hottest’ or ‘record-breaking heat’, it’s just another example of their use of dishonesty to fuel their agenda. Even half-way honest would be to add ‘all-time hottest– at least in the century or so of record keeping.’ Full-exposure honesty would of course be: ‘all-time hottest– at least in the century or so of record keeping, which works out to about .000000025 of our planet’s existence (excuse my math, but you get the point).
As learned men, why not add if they think it may have been hotter once or twice on that date in the 4 billion years before record keeping. Maybe 1 or 2 thousand times? Maybe 1 or 2 hundred thousand times?
Because we’re here to witness & record it this time, is not proof that we’re the cause of it this time.
Warmists like McKibben have become increasingly desperate as their pet AGW theory collapses under the weight observational science. Like whiny school children, they now blame every natural weather event — droughts, floods, hot and cold temperatures, even blizzards — on the dreaded CO2 molecule — a plant nutrient necessary for all life on earth. Their doomsday fingerpointing borders on juvenile.
Far more people die each year from cold weather, as we saw last winter in central and eastern Europe. If this planet descends into another long-term cool-down (and there is mounting evidence we are headed in that direction), people will remember with fondness the good old days of the warm Holocene period.
