Congress Is Full Of Idiots

Frank Lautenberg’s (D-N.J.) office is saying that he plans to reintroduce legislation that would curtail the ability of a shooter to fire at length without reloading.

“If reports are correct and a high-capacity gun magazine was used to commit these awful murders, Senator Lautenberg will absolutely renew his effort to limit the availability of this dangerous firearm attachment,” Lautenberg’s communications director Caley Gray told The Huffington Post.

Lautenberg, one of the most vocal gun control advocates in the Senate, introduced a bill to limit high-capacity magazines following the shooting of former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. The shooter in that instance fired his gun more than 30 times without having to reload. The bill went nowhere.

Early reports have suggested that the accused shooter in Aurora, James Holmes, also used a high-capacity magazine on his assault rifle. And that alone could breathe new political life into the New Jersey Democrat’s legislative hopes.

Gun Control Legislation: Frank Lautenberg Readies Bill In Wake Of Aurora Shooting

Get a brain, Frank. Watch this video. The only thing that would have stopped the Aurora scumbag was a CCW holder who was allowed to carry in the theatre.

One year ago this week a shooter in Norway killed almost 100 kids at a summer camp, because no one else was armed on the island.

Every responsible citizen should get a concealed carry license, and make sure that human garbage like Breivik and Holmes know that they will be put down in a matter of seconds.

Liberals never ending battle against reason, logic, and common sense. If all large magazines were to disappear tomorrow, the answer is: carry multiple weapons. or be fast on the mag change, and have them instantly accessible .

  2. ralphcramdo says:

Damn, this makes me want to run to my neighborhood gun store and grab a KalTech 30 shot 22 magnum semi automatic pistol. I have my CCW permit.

lautenberg needs to move to england or australia ; or even worse to some commie hell hole where they will treat him as he wants to treat us. Absolutely , positively no more gun laws in the US . Hey , man up and carry a gun or be a victim . Hey and don’t forget the shooter in Colorado was a, wait for it, wait for it , DEMOCRAT!!! Probably voted for obama hahahahahahaha. My sympathies to those who lost loved ones and those wounded but , and it is a choice , had they been like me an carried a gun everywhere they go they would have had a fighting chance. I do not go in places that don’t allow concealed carry unless it is couthouse or federal building and even then I am not far from a weapon. We have a real problem in this country with violent attitudes but it isn’t caused by guns and anyone that thinks it is a gun problem is an idiot. The real problem is lack of good moral values and that lack comes from the rejection of God and his son Jesus.

    • Many movie theatres in Colorado do not allow you to bring guns into the theatre.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if people wouldn’t come to watch movies anymore if they have to enter a shooting gallery to get their entertainment?

You mean, values like this guy has:

      • rocknblues81 says:

Some people have twisted minds. People need to stop blaming guns, lack of faith, movies or whatever they choose to blame it on. Some people are simply wired the wrong way. There have always been crazy people in this world and there will always be.

      • johnmcguire says:

Yo , rocknblues81 , You obviously know I didn’t mean the attitude expressed by that guy with his outpouring of hate. Christ does teach us to love one another but he also instructed us to pack a weapon for use against killers. Worley will answer to God for his acts and I will answer for mine. Christianity has taught me to see what I have in common with others , for instance your monicker tells me you appreciate music as I do . I think the 70s and 80s were the golden age of music and I still listen to the music of that era. I don’t think it has been equaled since. As far as homosexuality goes if that is your desire and you do it then you can deal with the issue with God. I don’t want anything to do with it and I can’t stand those who attempt to recruit young people into it for their perverted pleasure.

        Well stated John.

      • rocknblues81 says:

        John,

My point is that there are people of all kinds with crazy ideas. It’s not fair to blame all atheist for the shooting, and it’s not fair to take away guns because of the shooting etc…

I think most religious people have a good heart.. I’m just pointing out there are crazy folks of all kinds. I don’t think pinning this tragedy on folks that “lack faith” in god is fair. There are psycho left wingers, right wingers, priests, movie stars, fireman, gun lovers, gun haters, lesbians, gays etc…

The anti-gun nuts are as bad as the AGW alarmists. Neither group demonstrates much capacity for analytical thinking.

If just one movie patron in Aurora, Colo. had been armed, Holmes would have been quickly taken down. We should be easing gun restrictions, not looking for more ways to make law-abiding citizens defenseless targets for armed criminals.

But there is a more important reason for private gun ownership and the right to conceal or carry weapons openly. As our Founders clearly understood, the Second Amendment represents our last line of defense against our own government. If we lose that right, we can kiss the rest of our freedoms goodbye. As history shows, all totalitarian regimes — and this country is well on its way to becoming one — disarm their citizens prior to enslaving and murdering them.

    • Hitler took away the Berlin Jews guns the week before he started taking them to concentration camps

    • Kaboom says:

Even if he would not have stopped the shooter, he would have distracted the guy enough to let unarmed people in the audience flee and reduced the casualty count. Considering that many of those rampage shooters get off on the absolute power they have over their victims, a couple hard hits to his body armor might have broken his resolve and sent him running early.

      =======================================
For the most part, they are one and the same…… this explains why neither demonstrate much capacity for analytical thinking.

  5. Brian G Valentine says:

Somebody knew Holmes and the Norwegian idiot were collecting guns and anything else that exploded, and they knew what these people were capable of. For some reason there was no intervention

  6. sunsettommy says:

Only ONE bullet is needed to stop the raving maniac from shooting anything anymore.

  7. Andy DC says:

It is getting to the point where you are crazy not to carry a gun. Very sad, but true.

  8. AndyW says:

If everyone had a gun in that cinema it could have been a lot worse, with multiple people dressed as a superhero firing at others, Who could you tell was the initial shooter, especially with the gas/smoke in the air? How would the police know?

Yet another law abiding citizen goes nuts and starts killing people.

And we supposedly already have gun control here! Really!!!!!!!!!! Does it work?
Do criminals care about gun control or how they get one for their use?
