It reached 101 on June 27 this year, and alarmists went hysterical. One hundred degree days used to happen on a regular basis in Des Moines. Now they are extremely rare.
Alarmists blame CO2 for heatwaves, because they are ignorant of history and science.
Many are not ignorant. That leaves only deception as the reason for their behavior.
When history is forgotten, people will change it to fit their views, or distort it in a way that they understand. Many warmists do not even KNOW that there was a LIA or MWP, or even realize that Dust Bowl Period of the 1930’s. Ask people on the street. None will know. Ask an alarmist. They will shriek and cry: “Weather is not climate!” Yet…they do the thing they preach against.
“Deceptive” is a better word to describe the actions of the hockey stick crowd. Many of the scientists pushing the global warming scare are undoubtedly driven by greed. The scam has turned out to be very lucrative. Billions of dollars in research grants are at stake if their pet theory collapses, so they won’t go down without a fight. They will defend their junk science and bogus computer models to the bitter end, while villifying non-believers as “deniers.” The good news is that the climate skeptics (i.e. realists) have the science on their side. With each passing day, real-world empirical data exposes the global warming lie.
