The usual nutcases are out claiming that houses burned in Colorado because of climate change. The only thing that changed is that a bunch of clueless people built houses in places that were a fire waiting to happen.
The lead story in today’s dENVER pOST is the former Colorado Springs fire chief saying that the Waldo Canyon fire was just a matter of time. (I won’t quote the dENVER pOST nORMAL because it seems that the only way they can make money is by suing bloggers who quote them.)
If you build a house in the middle of a pile of kindling wood, it is going to burn.
No doubt, the people whining and crying about the fires in Colo, the heat in Kansas, and storms or what not, are delusional. What I find fascinating is that they say this is what we can expect in a warmer world…… but, according to the measurements, this isn’t a warmer world today. It has been for nearly the entire year significantly cooler than 2010 and other recent years.
Stupid and dishonest are what these people are. http://suyts.wordpress.com/2012/07/03/its-sooooooo-hot/
“The usual nutcases are out claiming that houses burned in Colorado because of climate change.”
They may be right this time; not correct that climate change caused the fires, but correct that climate change caused the people to build houses surrounded by woods that experience major fires every few decades. After all, even rational people can only stand so much exposure to anti-scientific “climate” drivel and fake “we-are-all-one-with-a-loving-nature environmentalism,” before they start dragging the anchor of logical thought and drift onto the leeward shore of stupidity.
