Sad Week For Alarmists

Our alarmist friends have been hoping for a return to the misery of the Dust Bowl, thinking that will somehow keep their funding coming in.

The first problem they have is that the comparisons are absurd. The Dust Bowl saw much longer lasting and more extensive droughts. Compare 2012 to 1934 below.

But even sadder for the humanity haters is that over the past week, much of the drought area has received one to eight inches of rain.

    Stephen,

Beautiful work – the rainfall map superimposed on the 2012 drought map – excellent.

  2. Eric Webb says:

Wow, that is a nice map, of course I think if the warmists are sad now just wait until winter comes.

  3. Eric Simpson says:

    Warmists: Grow Up!
What is sad is that these climate clowns will never grow up and act like mature adults, instead they are all like adolescent cheerleaders jumping up and down on the sidelines, cheering and rooting for our doom, bad weather, and the very warmth that they say would be so detrimental to society. They’ve been predicting horrible disaster going on five decades, usually saying it will happen within 15 or 20 years. What has been an unmitigated disaster is their 0 for [dozens and dozens] record in predicting disaster. Why don’t these shameless bullshitters quit with their unrelenting scare-mongering, often directed at children. And the last week the big names among the juvenile doom and gloomers were all rah rahing the heat wave and fire with their pom poms up in the air. The heat [and fire!] was normal, get it, nothing unusual for summer, not a sign of the end the world.

“We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis…” -David Rockefeller (rich liberal)
“In ten years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish.” -Paul Ehrlich, Earth Day 1970
“It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.” -Paul Watson, Co-Founder of Greenpeace
“Climate change is real. Not only is it real, it’s here, and its effects are giving rise to a frighteningly new global phenomenon – the man-made natural disaster.” -B. Hussein O.

  4. Eric:
Why do liberals insist Romney is guilty of sending jobs overseas while they totally ignore how much of the stimulus money went to overseas “green” manufacturers? People have very poor memories and very hopeful minds–you remember the “hopey-changey” thing? They listen to words and pick the ones they like. Actions are easily ignored. Greenepeace hates oil companies but loves wind turbines–even though these are the same business in many cases. We live in an age of “Twitter” and “Facebook” where nothing lasts more than a couple of minutes and none of it is tied to actions or reality in many cases. With climate change, if you shut off a few lights, use curly fry bulbs, spend $1000 for a refrigerator to save $150 a year on electricity and maybe get a higher mileage car next time you buy one, you have done your part. It’s the evil oil companies/wind turbine company’s fault the planet is dying. And you can’t fix that. Doom and gloom and blaming corporations=ordinary person can only do so much and after that it’s useless to try=we’re off the hook for this mess. People who have good memories and tie words to actions are the minority, it seems.

    • Eric Simpson says:

Yeah, I agree! And the “stimulus” was a travesty, the biggest one time highway robbery ever perpetrated on the American people, where it was worse than just any conceivable “pork barrel” spending, as it was a flat out criminal diversion of untold billions to the president’s “green” [yes, the quotes are called for in this case; the green part here was about green money!] campaign donors and union hacks. It served only to massively inflate the deficit, so its economic effect was negative, and we still feel it today as we struggle to get out of Obama’s stag-conomy.
Also, my earlier comment: Ironic that O tries to hit Romney for outsourcing jobs, when behind the scenes O is trying to outsource our very govt and sovereignty to the leftist United Nations. Arguably, we as citizens have already outsourced the job of president of the U.S..
      And

Where did all the lobster come from? There’s nothing left to eat down there, we ruined everything. 😉

Get em out of the sea, maybe the level will drop a few micron.

    • Don’t worry. The government will immediately pass or declare new regulations that double the cost of lobster. As for getting things out of the ocean to decrease sea level, whales would be a better choice except you’d have a hundred hollywood types out there chaining themselves to the whales. Or the beach……
