Loss of Arctic sea ice ‘70% man-made’ | Environment | The Guardian
In 1940, a nearly identical warming and thinning of the ice was reported. Was that also caused by humans – as well as the subsequent expansion of the ice in the 1970s?
it was concluded that near Polar temperatures are on an average six degrees higher than those registered by Nansen 40 years ago. Ice measurements were on an average only 6½ feet against from 9¼ to 13 feet.
23 Feb 1940 – THE NORTH POLE. Is it Getting Warmer. | BUNDABER…
I am really sick of watching climate scientists make claims which have no basis.
Well, it is a dubious moniker to call them scientists at all. We should come up with a more apt description.
Clearly that reoprt is in error – I mean c’mon – even a junior reporter knows the climate saviour is HHHHansen not Nansen.
There is definitely no geothermal activity in Greenland:

Ice could not possibly be melting for geothermal reasons. No, sir!
How much warmer was the North Pole, or how much less was the summer sea ice 2,000 or 1,000 years ago? We can but speculate, but a recent tree-ring study for Northern Scandinavia suggests summer temperatures were 0.6 Celsius warmer than today. It also suggests that 1940 was also warmer than today.

It is obvious brainwashing to keep throwing out incorrect information time and time again, with no one else having a place at the table to refute their data or methodology.
Just wondering?
Have any of you Guys seen this?
I’ve had a copy on file for a few years and forgot all about it until I came across it again the other day.
ATP 17(C) NATO Arctic Manual
I see you can download a copy here:

They were originally going to write 68.7851 % man made, but then decided that would have sounded stupid. 🙂
