President Obama is fighting to make electricity unaffordable and unavailable in the US, while Pakistan struggles to do the opposite.
Pakistanis Tire of Water, Electricity Shortages
ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s new prime minister, Raja Pervez Ashraf, faces a struggling economy and has said he will make the delivery of electricity a priority, but the nation is tired of constant shortages of water and power.In the capital, Islamabad, homeowners pay for private water trucks to fill their tanks. Others have huge generators to make sure their air conditioners run.
But residents say they are tired of leaders who can’t deliver basic services like water, gas, electricity.
The lack of power is crippling Pakistan’s ability to grow with its population. City workers in crowded Rawalpindi use generators to fix the infrastructure.

I see the US becoming like Pakistan in the near future except we won’t be allowed to run generators as that would cause emissions of noxious AGW gasses.
I have been without power, Internet, hot water, cable TV, refrigeration and air conditioning for the last 2 days due to a climate change induced thunderstorm (sarc.). I had to come to my office to get on line. I am already getting the feel of living in a 3rd world country and don’t like it a bit.
Doesn’t anyone have some cheap solar cells to sell to Pakistan?
