1996 : NASA Finds Life On Mars

When scientists set out to find something, they almost always find it – even if it doesn’t exist.

  1. Eric Webb says:

I do personally believe there is life on mars, simple microbes, perhaps that thrive underground. However, NASA has yet to prove their existence, so any life claimed to be on mars is speculation at this point. I would also like them to prove if there is life on Jupiter’s moon, Europa, it does have a significant source of water after all.

  2. Brian G Valentine says:

They found amino acids in meteorites, unfortunately, raecemic mixtures of enantiomers, which proves nothing.

NASA has become a cult, thanks to the likes of people like Jim Hansen

  3. Eric Webb says:

When it comes to finding life on other planets, I’m very open-minded, but I think NASA has lost credibility over the years, and I think private sector companies should conduct space exploration. After all, if you give the private sector and the government the same task to complete, the private sector will get it done more efficiently and will get it done at a lower cost than the government, because the private sector has the motivation and the competition to get it done, because if they don’t then their business will fail.

    • Brian G Valentine says:

I’m sorry on behalf of companies like Orbital that this might not be true, because NASA has to review everything first.

The problem has been – no skepticism. No approach from the negative – “something is going to go wrong, what is it that is going to go wrong?”

That darn ‘smoking gun’ gets everywhere.

  5. Eric Simpson says:

That ET looks kind of like the little green plastic Gumby I used to have. Lol. Imagine if they did find life on Mars. People would turn their head for a moment, say Really? And go back to what they were doing. This would be a big deal for about a NY Minute.

I hate to be “one of those people” but there is obviously plant life on Mars. Bushes and trees.

They like to show this set of pics because it is so surreal that it’s fairy land whether those are trees or not http://blogs.suntimes.com/shinyobjects/011410mars.jpg

    This is plant life

I find it difficult to believe that this picture depicts meteorites

  7. The sad fact is just this:

    1. We have irrefutable evidence government-paid scientists manipulated, hid and/or ignored experimental data that falsified government-approved models of reality.

    2. World leaders and government bureaucrats who gave public funds to government scientists to promote fraudulent information have refused to admit their errors.

    3. Having documented that world leaders and leaders of the scientific community promote misinformation some time, we never know when, or if, they are telling us the truth.

In the “Neutron-Repulsion Group” I suggested the following options:

“If world leaders are unwilling or unable

    a.) To get “right-sized”, and

b.) To re-establish contact with “reality, God, truth”

Then the US Declaration of Independence grants us the right

c.) To alter or to abolish it and to institute new government . . .”

  8. Don Gaddes says:

The NASA ‘discovered’ microbes living at the bottom of an arsenic enriched lake proved to be false. They were supposed to convince us to cough up the trillions necessary to launch a Mars Colony and beyond. First try and prove there is intelligent life on Earth.

You have that right, in that case. However, my feeling is that if meteorites can make it here containing from Mars, then why not the reverse? Think of how many of the major earth comet/meteor strikes over the past billion years could have (and would have) taken chunks of earth to Mars. With this thinking, I cannot see how there would not be life on Mars, in the form of earth-origin microbes.
