Bremen shows Arctic ice 20% below the 2007 minimum.
The National Ice Center shows Arctic 36% above the 2007 minimum.
The National Ice Center is in the business of being accurate and saving lives, while Bremen is in the business of obtaining global warming grant money.
Bremen’s sea ice is affected by this issue:
But it is certainly scary-looking, so it gets favorable coverage.

While Arctic ice is below average Antarctic ice is above average. And Antarctic ice has been in a growing trend for decades. There is a natural balance in the earth. There’ is nothing to be alarmed about. People that are taking out what is happening in Arctic ice and using it to scare people about “global warming” are the same as Chicken Little—the sky is falling.
“There is a natural balance in the earth”
So what is the force in acton here then so that it balances?
I can’t decipher what you said.
Andy,
If what is happening in Arctic ice really was from “global warming” then it would be happening with Antarctic ice too. The globe contains both Arctic ice and Antarctic ice, i.e. both North Pole and South Pole ice. But what is happening to Arctic ice is not happening to Antarctic ice. The opposite is happening to Antarctic ice. So what is happening with Arctic ice is not from “global warming”.
That’s about as simple as I can say it.
Also, the globe is not warming. The earth is in a cooling trend since 1998. And there has been nothing statistically significant happening in temperature for 18 years, Warming is not happening. Thus, what is happening with Arctic ice is not from warning. Arctic ice decreased for 3 decades, while Antarctic ice has increased for decades even longer than that.
Steven, any chance you’d be willing to take a bet on the IMS data reaching a new low this year?
