69 MPH Wind

Let’s hope Tampa can survive those 15 MPH winds that some Dems claimed were sent from God as punishment for being Republican.
They go from Atheistic ridicule of Christianity to prayers that God will strike us dead. They can’t make up their minds what to believe. And when they do turn to God, it’s to ask for evil things. Sick, Pathetic.
I love this headline from the CWG at WAPO.
“Isaac nearly a hurricane as it bears down on Louisiana, northern Gulf coast”
This might be the opportunity for a PSA on the IQ deficiency required by those who choose to populate sinking delta soil and known flood plains.
“Hurricanes have been a part of New Orleans history since the city was settled in the early 18th century by the French (Fitzpatrick, 1999). With an average elevation of 1.8 meters (6 feet) below sea level, New Orleans is a shallow depression ringed by levees and thus vulnerable to massive flooding because there is nowhere for floodwaters to go (Yamazaki, 2002). A storm surge from a slow-moving Category 3, 4, or 5 storm can reach 30 feet (Fitzpatrick, 1999). This can create problems because the pumps designed to pump out the city can not work when they are completely submerged. Jefferson and Orleans parishes ranked first and second among communities receiving repeat payments for damage claims between 1978 and 1995 under the National Flood Insurance Program. These two parishes alone accounted for twenty percent of the properties with repeat losses. They had an average of nearly three claims per property for a total of $308 million (New Orleans Hurricane Risk).”

According to the above link, “Louisiana was hit by 49 of the 273 hurricanes that made landfall on the American Atlantic Coast between 1851 and 2004” which is an average of one hurricane landfall every 3 years. However it took Hansen proving that turning air conditioning off on a hot summer day causes sweating on Capitol Hill to get the world to believe that CO2 causes hurricanes to be worse now than ever before. I’m sure the American press will be doing its normal due diligence by scowering the hurricane records way way back to 2005 in order to put the current possible hurricane in the historic context that fits their alarmist bias.
We need to send counselors in to assist all the Florida children that have been traumatized by the 20 mph winds.
Who can forget the shocking scenes of the life threatening deep waters that flooded NJ?
