Ehrlich Says We Are All Going To Die Again

Paul Ehrlich said that we all died a horrible death during the 1980s, and that we are going to suffer the same fate again.

Twitter / PaulREhrlich: If society is to avoid collapse …

Ehrlich has been a broken record for at least 45 years.

Paul Ehrlich. Just about the wrongest wrong man that was ever wrong about anything (everything?).

  2. tckev says:

Mr. Ehrlish, do we all perish before or after my children don’t know what snow is?

  3. Robert of Ottawa says:

But … but … it is true. We ARE all going to die. Climate will cause the death of at least 6 billion people this century. We must stop this! Especially as I am one of the ordained to die 🙁

    • Many more than that. there are currently six billion and many billions more will be born and die before the end of the century.

      • Shooter says:

Based on the UN’s low variant projection, the Earth’s population will peak at 8 or so billion by 2040 before declining. It will never double again.

Mr. Ehrlich does not take into account birthrates. Even in Africa, where there used to be “exponential growth”, has experienced a decline in birthrates.

        See here: http://www.overpopulationisamyth.com

      • Mr. Ehrlich does not take into account anything that might possibly disagree with his life-long obsession. Which means that whatever he is doing, it certainly isn’t science…

    Dave,

Aren’t we lucky that such an approach is confined to Paul Ehrlich……..er….hold on.

  5. Shooter says:

Hey Steve, you should see the site LimitstoGrowth.org. It’s an alarmist site dedicated to overpopulation.

And @ Dave Stephens: Paul doesn’t know that the world fertility rate is 2.45. It is dropping and soon will be below replacement.

I came over from Climate Depot when I saw Ehrlich’s name. Having read his book New World New Mind which dovetails perfectly with the ed “reforms” Obama and UNESCO are pushing. Plus what his acolyte, John Holdren, is surreptitiously up to with a hugely troubling domestic transformation called the Belmont Challenge. I think Ehrlich saw this Administration as the fulfillment of his long sought goals. And now the whole extent of the duplicity and the collectivist nature of the initiatives are coming out instead.

http://www.invisibleserfscollar.com/how-disabilities-law-is-already-being-used-to-gain-ehrlichs-new-mind-and-the-future-earth-economy/ is one of the stories I wrote of just how transformational Ehrlich’s willingness to alter the environment and the economy at the level of each individual’s mind is. It is reminiscent of a totalitarian state.

Some how I always get the impression he really would like to have gulag powers to control individual behaviors.

  7. GuarionexSandoval says:

Given his track record of almost total failure in the prediction business, why should anyone have any confidence in anything the poor old schlub has to say? Oh, I know. He has a certain status and he reinforces their prejudices. He is to apocalyptic scientism what Jerry Lewis is to French comedy.

  8. Doug Proctor says:

He is an honorary director of the David Suzuki Foundation. His wife (?) is a director of the Pacific Institute, where Peter Gleick comes from.

Is it any wonder that several associations have the same, apocalyptic message?

The Messiah of Doom. Nostradamus with a pitchfork.

  9. Aido says:

James Delingpole has written a superb book entitled Watermelons about environmentalists.

(watermelons – green on the outside, red on the inside)
